مطالعات باستان سنجی و ارزیابی تاریخ نیشابور: بررسی انتقادی کتاب nishapur revisited: stratigraphy and ceramics of the qohandez (بازنگری نیشابور: لایه نگاری و سفال‌های کهندژ)

کتاب بازنگری نیشابور: لایه نگاری و سفال‌های کهندژ درباره‌ نتایج مطالعات آزمایشگاهی روی برخی داده‌های باستان شناسی نیشابور است. در این کتاب تاریخ شکل گیری و تحول تاریخی نیشابور و جایگاه این شهر در بافتار خراسان بزرگ بر اساس مطالعات ترمولومینسانس، آرکئو مغناطیس و رادیو کربن بررسی شده است. پرسش محوری پژوهش حاضر این است که روکو رانته و آنابل کولینه چگونه بر اساس مطالعات باستان سنجی به بازنگری تاریخ نیشابور دست زده‌اند. دو پرسش فرعی مقاله نیز چنین است: آیا نویسندگان کتاب توانستند به شیوه‌ای علمی مباحث و رویکردهای مورد پژوهش را بررسی نمایند؟ این کتاب تا چه اندازه از کارآمدی لازم برای رفع ابهامات و پرسش‌های موجود در ذهن مخاطبان ایرانی و خارجی برخوردار است؟ رویکرد پژوهش حاضر تفسیر انتقادی و شیوه‌ گردآوری داده‌های پژوهش، میدانی و کتابخانه‌ای است. در راستای پاسخ به پرسش‌های طرح شده، ایده‌ نویسندگان در فصول مختلف کتاب مورد نقد و بررسی قرار گرفته است. در ادامه در دو مبحث جداگانه کتاب حاضر از منظر شکلی و محتوایی مورد نقد و ارزیابی قرار گرفته است.

the book “nishapur revisited”: is the stratification and kohandej pottery of the results of laboratory studies on some archeological data of neyshabur. in this book, the history of the formation and historical evolution of neyshabur and the place of this city in the context of greater khorasan are investigated based on thermoluminescence, archaeomagnetism and radiocarbon studies. the central question of the current research is how rocco rante and annabelle colina revised the history of neyshabur based on archeological studies. the two sub-questions of the article are as follows: were the authors of the book able to investigate the topics and approaches of the research in a scientific way? to what extent is this book effective enough to resolve the ambiguities and questions in the minds of iranian and foreign audiences? the approach of the current research is critical interpretation and the method of collecting research is field and library data. in order to answer the proposed questions, the ideas of the authors have been reviewed in different chapters of the book. in the following, in two separate topics, this book has been criticized and evaluated from the form and content perspectives.
