بررسی و نقد کتاب تاریخچه‌ آواشناسی و سهم ایرانیان

به‌نظر می‌رسد که تاریخچه‌ آواشناسی و سهم ایرانیان تالیف سیدمهدی سمائی تنها کتابی باشد که هدف اصلی آن معرفی سیر مطالعات آواشناسی و دستاوردهای دانشمندان ایرانی در این زمینه است. طبق فهرست مطالب کتاب، آواشناسی در یونان، روم، هند، و سرزمین‌های اسلامی در بازه‌ زمانی قرن ششم پیش از میلاد تا قرن پانزدهم میلادی، مطالبی‌اند که این کتاب به آن‌ها می‌پردازد. در این مقاله سعی شده است که اثر یادشده مفصلاً معرفی، نقد، و بررسی شود. پس از معرفی فصل‌ها و بخش‌های این کتاب، در تحلیل‌ و نقد صوری اثر، به مواردی نظیر شیوه‌ نگارش نویسنده، رسم‌الخط، شیوه‌ ارجاع و اطلاعات کتاب‌شناختی، و آوانگاری پرداخته شده است. در تحلیل و نقد محتوایی مفصل این اثر، هر فصل به‌صورت جداگانه باتوجه‌به موضوع و هدف آن موردبحث و بررسی قرار گرفته است. براساس تحلیل‌های صوری و محتوایی که در این مقاله ارائه شده است، این اثر را در خوش‌بینانه‌ترین وضعیت می‌توان عمدتاً ارجاعاتی به برخی منابع در زمینه‌ تاریخ زبان‌شناسی، گردآوری، و تلخیص برخی از منابع در زمینه‌ آواشناسی در کشورهای اسلامی دانست، زیرا عموماً مطالب کتاب نقل‌قول‌هایی از منابعی نسبتاً قدیمی و نیازمند شرح و توصیف در قالب اصطلاحات رایج امروزی است.

a critique on the book “iranians and history of phonetics”
