بررسی و نقد کتاب مقدمه‌ای بر زبان‌شناسی شناختی

این مقاله با هدف بررسی و نقد کتاب مقدمه‌ای بر زبان‌شناسی شناختی، نوشتۀ اونگرر و اشمیت با ترجمۀ جهانشاه میرزابیگی (1397)، نوشته شده است. پس از بررسی متن انگلیسی کتاب مشخص شد که گرچه این کتاب یکی از منابع اصلی و شناخته‌شدۀ زبان‌شناسی شناختی است، کاستی‌هایی دارد که از میان آن‌ها می‌توان به توجه ناکافی به بنیاد‌ها و فرض‌های اساسیِ زبان‌شناسی شناختی، جهانی‌های زبان، تنوع زبانی از دیدگاه زبان‌شناسی شناختی، و بدن‌مندی و شالودۀ جسمانی زبان و شناخت اشاره کرد. هم‌چنین، هرچند دربارۀ برخی از مباحث مطرح‌شده در معناشناسی شناختی هم‌چون استعاره، مجاز، طرح‌واره‌های انگاره‌ای، و آمیختگی مفهومی به‌خوبی بحث شده است، به برخی از مباحث آن هم‌چون نیروپویایی چندان توجه نشده است. پس از بررسی ترجمۀ اثر، کاستی‌ها و ایرادهایی در آن مشاهده شد که مهم‌ترین آن‌ها عبارت‌اند از: معادل‌گزینی‌های نامناسب برخی اصطلاحات تخصصی و گاه غیرتخصصی، اشکالات چشم‌گیر در برگردان واژه‌ها، عبارت‌ها، و جمله‌ها به فارسی که آن‌ها را می‌توان تحت‌ عناوینِ نادرستی ترجمه، نارسایی ترجمه، و نایک‌نواختی ترجمه مطرح کرد، و اشکالات پرشمار در ارجاع‌های درون‌متنی و برون‌متنی. ازاین‌رو، پیش‌نهاد می‌شود که کتاب از نظر املایی، انشایی، و ترجمه‌ای بازنگری شود.

a critical review on the book an introduction to cognitive linguistics

the present paper has been written with the aim of analyzing and reviewing the persian translation of an introduction to cognitive linguistics by jahanshah mirzabeigi (2018). analyzing the english version of the book revealed that, although it is one of the main and well-known textbooks in the field, it has some deficiencies among which we can mention insufficient attention to the basic principles and assumptions of cognitive linguistics, language universals and linguistic diversity from the perspective of cognitive linguistics, embodiment and the embodied basis of language and cognition. also, although some issues in cognitive semantics, such as metaphor, metonymy, image schemas, and conceptual blending are well addressed in the book, some other issues such as force dynamics are neglected. analyzing the persian translation of the book showed that there are some deficiencies and drawbacks, the most important of which are: inappropriate equivalents for certain technical and non-technical terms, relatively considerable errors in translation of words, expressions, and sentences, and numerous errors in intra- and extra-textual references. in this regard, it is suggested that the book should be revised in terms of spelling, eloquence, and translation accuracy.
