جهانی‌شدن، جهان‌وطنی، و محیط‌زیست: مروری بر چشم‌انداز اولریش بک

پرداختن به مسئلۀ محیط‌‌زیست در فضایی خلاگونه امکان‌پذیر نیست، خصوصاً در روزگاری که چالش‌‌های زیست‌‌محیطی مانند تغییرات اقلیمی تنها در ابعاد جهانی قابل‌تبیین هستند. ازسویی‌دیگر، مفهوم جهانی‌شدن موردتوجه ژرف نظریه‌پردازان اجتماعی بوده است و در گذر زمان چالش‌های بنیادین «پرسش درمورد وجود یا عدم وجود آن» نیز به‌طور پی‌درپی افزایش یافته است. این مقاله نگاهی به یکی از متفاوت‌ترین اندیشه‌های کنونی در این باب، یعنی مفهوم جهان‌وطنی اولریش بک با تاکید بر ابعاد زیست‌‌محیطی آن، خواهد داشت که آن را بدیل به‌حق و شایستۀ مفهوم جهانی‌شدن برمی‌شمارد و دراین‌راستا تا آن‌جایی پیش می‌رود که از نو چهارچوب مرجع متفاوتی برای جامعه‌شناسی معاصر برمی‌سازد. در این مقاله، پس از پرداختن به اندیشه‌‌های بک درمورد مفهوم جامعۀ در مخاطرۀ جهانی و ویژگی‌های آن،‌ تمایزات بنیادین جهانی‌شدن و جهان‌وطنی، فرایند جهان‌وطنی و جامعه‌شناسی جهان‌وطن و درنهایت چندین نقد مطرح بر نظریه او، مطالعۀ تطبیقی ابعاد زیست‌‌محیطی جهانی‌‌شدن در اندیشه‌‌های هاروی، گیدنز، رابرتسن، و بک انجام شده است. مقاله سه مدل نوین میان گفتمان محیط‌‌زیست و گفتمان اقتصادی ارائه می‌‌کند و درنهایت دیدگاه هاروی و رابرتسن درراستای مدل تعارض، دیدگاه گیدنز درراستای مدل درهم‌‌تنیده، و دیدگاه بک نزدیک‌تر به مدل هم‌پوشانی استنتاج می‌‌شوند.

Globalization, Cosmopolitanism and Environment: Critical Review of Ulrich Beck

It is not possible to address the issue of the environment in an empty space, especially when the environmental challenges such as climate change can only be analyzed and explained on a global scale. Nowadays, the concept of globalization is very interesting for the social theorists, and over time the fundamental challenges of “question about its existence or nonexistence” have steadily increased. This article will take a look at one of the most diverse ideas in this field, the concept of Ulrich Beck’s cosmopolitanism, with an emphasis on its ecological dimensions, which he considers to be a worthy alternative to the concept of globalization, and goes so far as to it recreates a different frame of reference for contemporary sociology. The article deals with the description of Beck’s ideas on the concept of global risk society and its characteristics, the fundamental differences between globalization and cosmopolitanism, the cosmopolitanism process and the sociology of cosmopolitanism, and finally, a brief look at several critiques of his theory. Then it is focused on comparative research of the ecological dimensions of globalization in the ideas of Harvey, Giddens, Robertson and Beck. This article introduces three novel models of conflict, interwoven, and subset between environmental discourse and economic discourse.
