نقد و بررسی کتاب رابطۀ منطقی دین و علوم کاربردی

بااین‌که از زمان انتشار نخستین چاپ کتاب رابطۀ منطقی دین و علوم کاربردی بیش از دو دهه می‌گذرد، یکی از منسجم‌ترین آثاری است که موضع این جریان فکری را نمایندگی می‌کند. ازاین‌روی کتاب را شایستۀ معرفی و نقد دانستیم. در این کتاب نویسنده کوشیده است تا باتوجه‌به ادبیات آکادمیک در موضوعاتی ‌هم‌چون علم، تکنولوژی، و توسعه و ‌از‌سوی‌دیگر باعنایت‌به مبانی فکری فرهنگستان علوم اسلامی، به ‌‌تاملات قابل‌اعتنایی دست یابد‌. در این مقاله نشان داده‌‌ایم که ‌‌مولف کتاب به مناقشات عمدۀ معاصر در حوزۀ علم‌پژوهی و دین‌پژوهی اشراف چندانی ندارند؛ مناقشاتی که ازقضا با به‌چالش‌کشیدن هژمونی اروپا ‌ مسیحیت محور مطالعات علم و مطالعات دینی معاصر می‌توانند فضایی برای طرحی متفاوت از مناسبات دین و فرهنگ تکنیکی معاصر بگشایند. ازاین‌روی، پیش‌نهاد می‌شود نویسنده با بهره‌گیری از آخرین دستاوردهای علم‌پژوهی و دین‌پژوهی معاصر به ویرایش دوم این کتاب یا نگارش کتابی جدید در این زمینه اقدام کند.

The Logical Relationship between Religion and Applied Sciences: A Critical Book Review

Although more than two decades have passed since the publication of the first edition of The Logical Relationship between Religion and Applied Sciences, this book is still one of the most coherent and accurate works, showing the position of this intellectual current. The author of the book has tried to show the position of the Academy of Islamic Sciences on these issues, considering the academic literature on topics such as science, technology, and development. So, this book was regarded for proper introduction and critique. In this article, we have shown that the author of the book does not have much control over the latest controversies in the field of science and religion studies even in contemporary Iran. Today’s controversy, which has challenged EuropeanChristian hegemony based on the study of science and religion, could open a new space for a different view of the relationship between religion, culture, and technology. Therefore, it is expected that the author will write the second edition of the book, considering the latest achievements of contemporary scientology and theology.
