یکی از الگوهای نظری که در دو دهۀ گذشته باتوجه‌به تغییر پارادایمی در الگوی توسعه و تاکید بر توسعۀ انسانی و اجتماعی بیش‌ازپیش موردتوجه قرار گرفته پرورش انسانی پویاست. درواقع، نوع نگاه به انسان و نوع نیازهای انسان دگرگون شده و پرورش انسانی خوب به‌لحاظ روانی و اجتماعی به یکی از اهداف جوامع تبدیل شده است. یکی از مشهورترین روان‌پزشکانی که در این مورد طی چند دهه کار علمی انجام داده تامس ای. هریس، نویسندۀ آمریکایی، است.او که به تالیف چندین کتاب دربارۀ وضعیت خوب و انسان خوب پرداخته معتقد است وضعیت خوب حاصل پرورش انسانی خوب است. در این مقاله، ابتدا مقدمه‌ای کوتاه در معرفی اثر ارائه می‌شود. سپس، در بخش دوم نظریۀ تحلیل رفتار متقابل معرفی می‌شود. در بخش سوم، ساختار و محتوای کتاب معرفی می‌شود و در بخش چهارم، کتاب در قالب دو زیربخش الف) ارزیابی شکلی و ب) ارزیابی محتوایی نقد می‌شود. در بخش پایانی مقاله، نتیجه‌گیری اثر ارائه خواهد شد.

This article firstly provides a short introduction about the book, and then in the second part, the Transactional Analysis Theory is introduced, and then the structure and content of the book are mentioned in the third part. In the rest of the paper, the criticisms and evaluation of the book are presented in two subsections (a) evaluation of form and (b) evaluation of the content. In the final section of the paper, the conclusion of the book is presented.
