بررسی و نقد کتاب بنیاد نظری سیاست در جوامع چندفرهنگی

کتاب بنیاد نظری سیاست در جوامع چندفرهنگی با محوریت مسئله چندفرهنگ‌‌گرایی و تئوریزه‌کردن آن به‌نگارش درآمده است. پرسش محوری اثر این است که در یک اجتماع سیاسی با هویت‌های فرهنگی مختلف و با اعضای پیرو گفتارهای دینی، اخلاقی، و فلسفی گوناگون فرایند تصمیم‌‌گیری سیاسی چگونه باید تنظیم شود که درعین احترام به این تفاوت‌ها هم‌زیستی مسالمت‌‌آمیز شهروندان نیز رعایت شود؟ کتاب مذکور تلاش می‌کند ازطریق بررسی مناظره لیبرال‌ها و جامعه‌گرایان معاصر، پاسخ‌های داده‌شده به پرسش مذکور را به‌آزمون بگذارد. به‌تعبیر‌دیگر، رویکرد کلی کتاب دفاع از بینش جامعه‌‌گرایانه توام با موضعی انتقادی به اندیشه لیبرالی است و نویسنده نظریه‌های ارائه‌شده ازسوی جامعه‌گرایان و لیبرال‌ها را در سه محور مفهوم خود، مبانی اخلاق سیاسی، و سیاست تفاوت فرهنگی تجزیه و تحلیل کرده است. با عنایت به مباحث مذکور، در مقاله حاضر تلاش خواهد شد ضمن معرفی اثر، نقد و ارزیابی انتقادی آن در دستور کار نویسندگان قرار گیرد. این‌که مسئله و کانون تمرکز اثر چیست؟ و هدف این اثر و جایگاه آن در منابع موجود این حوزه به چه صورتی است؟ از مهم‌ترین موضوعاتی‌اند که نویسندگان می‌کوشند بدان‌ها بپردازند.

A Review and Critique of the Book “Theoretical Foundations of Politics in Multicultural Societies”

The book entitled “Theoretical Foundations of Politics in Multicultural Societies” has been written about the issue of multiculturalism and its theorizing. The question is, how should a political decisionmaking process be organized in a political community with different cultural, religious, and philosophical identities in a way that all members of the community have a peaceful coexistence. The book seeks to test the answers given to the question by examining the debates of contemporary liberalism and communitarianism. In other words, the general approach of the book is to defend communitarianism with a critical look at liberalism. The writer of the book analyzes and interprets the ideas put forward by communitarians and liberals from three perspectives of self, principles of political ethics, and policy of cultural differences. This paper will attempt to critically evaluate the book. The authors of this paper aim to answer the following questions. What is the focal point of the work? What is the purpose of this work and its place in the resources available in this area?
