نقدی بر کتاب منسوجات سنتی هند

کشور هند تاریخی طولانی در تولید منسوجات خانگی دارد. به‌علت گستردگی کشور، جمعیت زیاد، وجود اقوام مختلف، دست‌رسی به آب‌های آزاد، دست‌رسی به منابع طبیعی الیاف و مواد رنگ‌زا، و باورهای قومی از تنوع منسوجات و روش‌های تولید برخوردار بوده است. تنوع در انواع البسۀ زنان و مردان، روش‌های نقش‌اندازی با چاپ، رنگ‌رزی یا سوزن‌دوزی سبب شده است تا گنجینۀ بزرگی از انواع منسوجات سنتی را دارا باشد. آشنایی با منسوجات سنتی هند، به‌علت تنوع و گستردگی، اطلاعات بسیار ارزنده‌ای را در اختیارمان قرار می‌دهد. کتاب منسوجات سنتی هند با هدف معرفی صنعت نساجی گذشتۀ هند به رشتۀ تحریر درآمده است. باتوجه‌به کم‌بود منابع فارسی که منسوجات سنتی را معرفی و تحلیل کرده باشد، این کتاب توانسته است به‌عنوان یک منبع درسی موفق شناخته شود. محتوای کتاب از جهات مختلف موردنقد و بررسی قرار گرفت. ارزیابی اثر نشان می‌دهد که کتاب جامعیت خوبی دارد و محتوای موجود جواب‌گوی نیاز کاربر بوده است. با رعایت نظم منطقی و انسجام بیش‌تر در محتوای متن، استفادۀ مناسب از تصاویر، یا پرهیز از اندکی پیش‌داوری در تاثیرپذیری منسوجات هندی از نوع ایرانی می‌توان اصالت و اعتبار اثر را ارتقا بخشید.

Book Review: ’Traditional Indian Textiles’

India has a long history of textiles. Due to the vastness of the country, the large population and different tribes, access to the oceans, access to the natural resources of fiber and dyes, and ethnic beliefs have led to the variety of textiles. Variety in all types of women’s and men’s clothing, design, and dyeing methods or embroidery has created a wide variety of traditional textiles. Learning the traditional Indian textiles, due to their variety and breadth, provides us with a lot of valuable information. The traditional Indian textile book has been written to introduce India’s textile history to the learners. Due to the lack of Persian sources of traditional world textiles, this book has become a successful source. The content of the book was criticized in different ways. The evaluation results show that the book is precise and the content is relevant to the learner’s needs. With respect to the rational order and greater coherence in the content of the text, the proper use of the images or the avoidance of a slight predisposition to the impact of Indian textiles of the Iranian type, the authenticity of the work can be promoted.
