A solidphase extraction method has been developed to separate and concentration trace amounts ofleadions from aqueous samples for the measurement by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. by the passage ofaqueous samples through activated carbon modified by z-mercaptobenzimidazole (mbi), pb2+ ions adsorbquantitatively. optimal experimental conditions including ph, sample volume, solution concentration, flowrate and amount ofmbl have been studied and established
