بررسی سرولوژیک عفونت سالمونلایی در شتران تک کوهانه ی نجف آباد

Salmonellosis is a zoonotic disease and is produced by salmonella spp.. the signs of the disease inanimals are abortion, gatsroenteritis and diarrhea. the aim of this study was to determine the serologicalprevalence of salmonellosis in camels of najafabad by s. typhimurium, s. paratyphi a, c and s. enteritidisd in camelus dromedarius in najafabad slaughter house.to do this, 384 blood samples were collectedand were tested to detect anti-salmonella groups a, b, c and d antibodies. serological examinationsby agar gel immunodiffugen test showed only three positive samples. two samples were positive forgroup b salmonella (aged 1-2 years) and one sample was positive for group c (aged 5-7 years). it couldbe concluded that camels might be a risk factor for spreading of salmonella in this area but it is not soserious. however it should be considered in further investigations and public health programs. finally,it is worth mentioning that because there is no strict surveillance in our eastern borders, the hazard willbe serious in future, as well.keywords: salmonella, camel, slaughterhouse, najafabad, iran
