   Electrochemical Determination of Antibacterial Drug Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride Using Chloranil Modified Carbon Paste Electrode

چکیده    A highly sensitive electroanalytical method for the determination of moxifloxacinhydrochloride using differential pulse voltammetry was described. the electrochemicalbehavior of the used drug was investigated in britton-robinson buffer in the ph range of 2.0to 11.0 at chloranil modified carbon paste electrode. the anodic peak currents increasedlinearly with the concentration in the range of 4.0×10-7 to 3.6×10-6 mol l-1. the limits ofdetection and quantification were 6.74×10-8 mol l-1 and 2.25×10-7 mol l-1, respectively. therelative standard deviation was found in the following range: 0.569-0.974%. the percentagerecovery was found in the following range: 99.28-100.60%. the method was successfullyapplied to the determination of moxifloxacin hydrochloride in tablets without previousseparation.
