چکیده    The electro-oxidation of amoxicillin (ac) on a copper electrode in alkalinesolution (0.1m naoh) has been studied by the methods of cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry (dpv) and chronoamperometry. it has been found that inthe course of an anodic potential sweep the electro-oxidation of acd-2 (dissociated formof ac) follows the formation of cuiii and catalysed by species through a mediatedelectron transfer mechanism. the process is diffusion controlled and the current-timeresponses follow cottrellian behavior. the rate constant and anodic transfer coefficientis reported. also it has been described the determination of ac in pharmaceuticalformulation by using dpv detection. the detection limit is 1.2 ?m (s/n=3) by dpv.the analytical utility of this electrode is simple also it was achieved by analyzing thecontent of ac in different drug samples with out pretreatment using dpv technique.
