چکیده    Electrochemical studies were carried out on silver nitrate in molten eutecticca(no3 )2–nh4no3 transient techniques; i.e., cyclic voltammetry, square wave voltammetry, convolution voltammetry and chronopotentiometry were used in order to study the reactionmechanism and transport parameters of electroactive specie on an inert electrode. thereversibility of the system was studied and the results showed that the electrochemical systemag(i)/ag(0) was quasi-reversible. values of the kinetic and thermodynamic parameters; k°(standard rate constant), ? (transfer coefficient), io (exchange current), e° (standard potential)and parameter ? for ag(i) were obtained (?=k°/ (d f ?)1/2). mass transport toward theelectrode is a simple diffusion process, and the d (diffusion coefficient) of ag(i) was alsocalculated and the validity of the arrhenius law for process was also qualified. diffusionactivation energy (ea) and activation energy (e?a) for the electron transfer reaction werecalculated. chronoamperometric study indicated instantaneous nucleation of ag with threedimensionalgrowth of the nucleus while the applied overpotential was.
