تقابل استعاری کتاب و فضای مجازی در کارتون‌های شهروندی: رویکرد زبان‌شناسی شناختی

این مقاله با هدف بررسی نقش استعاره‌های تصویری در انتقال پیام کارتون‌های شهروندی به رشتۀ تحریر درآمده است. بدین منظور، در قالب مطالعه‌ای موردی، تعداد چهار کارتون با موضوع تقابل بین کتاب و فضای مجازی که در وبگاه‌های فارسی‌زبان داخلی منتشر شده‌اند به روش نمونه‌گیری هدفمند انتخاب شده‌اند و در چارچوب نظریۀ استعارۀ مفهومی (لیکاف و جانسون، 1980، 1999؛ لیکاف، 1993) و نظریۀ استعارۀ چندوجهی (فورسویل، 1996، 2008، 2009) مورد تحلیل قرار گرفته‌اند. پرسش پژوهش این است که برای بیان تقابل بین کتاب و فضای مجازی در کارتون‌های شهروندی از کدام استعاره‌های تصویری استفاده شده است و حوزه‌های مبدا و مقصد در این استعاره‌ها کدامند؟ نتایج پژوهش نشان می‌دهد که کارتونیست‌ها برای بیان تقابل بین کتاب و فضای مجازی از استعاره‌های تصویری مبتنی بر قطار، دریا و تعارض فیزیکی بین انسان‌ها بهره برده‌اند و در حوزۀ مبدا یا مقصد این استعاره‌ها از مجاز مفهومی نیز استفاده شده است. بنابراین، استعاره و مجاز در تعامل با یکدیگر معنای مورد نظر کارتونیست را خلق می‌کنند و آن را براساس نوعی استدلال قیاسی به مخاطبان خود منتقل می‌سازند. همچنین مشخص شد که استعاره‌های تصویری به‌کاررفته در این کارتون‌ها از نوع آمیخته و بافتی هستند.

metaphorical contrast between books and cyberspace in citizenship cartoons: a cognitive linguistic approach

this article is a case study that aimed at investigating the role of pictorial metaphors in conveying the message of citizenship cartoons. for this purpose, four cartoons related to the contrast between book and cyberspace published in persian-language websites were selected by purposive sampling method. these cartoons then were analyzed in the framework of conceptual metaphor theory (lakoff johnson, 1980, 1999; lakoff, 1993) and multimodal metaphor theory (forceville, 1996, 2008, 2009). the main question of the research is: what pictorial metaphors have been used to express the contrast between books and cyberspace in citizenship cartoons, and what are the source domains in these metaphors? the results showed that pictorial metaphors based on the concepts of train, sea and physical conflict between humans have been used to express the contrast between books and cyberspace. moreover, the source or target domains of these metaphors involved conceptual metonymy. thus, metaphor and metonymy interact to create the cartoonist’s intended meaning and convey it to their audience based on a kind of analogical reasoning. the results also showed that the pictorial metaphors used in these cartoons were either hybrid or contextual.
