تاملاتی در وجوه ترجمه(نا)‌پذیری شعر معاصر فارسی

ترجمه در ارتباط میان فرهنگ‌ها نقشی اساسی ایفا می‌کند. متون ادبی نیز در انعکاس اندیشه، عواطف و تخیل انسان‌ها، جای‌گاهی ویژه دارند؛ اما ترجمه ی متون ادبی، خاصه شعر، همواره محل بحث و چالش بوده، به‌نحوی‌که بسیاری از مترجمان و صاحب‌نظران، اصولاً شعر را ترجمه‌ناپذیر می‌دانند. امروزه «مطالعات ترجمه» در جای‌گاه حوزه‌ای بینارشته‌ای، با هم‌کاری رشته‌های مختلف علمی، ازجمله زبان‌شناسی، ادبیات و فلسفه، به مسئله‌ی چیستی، چرایی و چه‌گونگی این نوع از ترجمه می‌پردازد و آرای مختلفی را تاکنون درباره‌ی ترجمه ی شعر ارایه داده است. هدف مقاله‌ی حاضر، مطالعه ی آرا و نظرات درباره‌ی ترجمه(نا)‌پذیری شعر، بررسی این دیدگاه‌ها و درنهایت، بررسی وجوهی از ترجمه‌پذیری و ترجمه‌ناپذیری شعر معاصر فارسی به زبان انگلیسی، با درنظرگرفتن متغیرهای موثر بر آن است. براساس یافته‌های این پژوهش، محتوا و پیام و ابداعات بیانی و زیبایی‌شناختی، نمادها و استعاره‌ها (عناصر جوهری شعر) و هم‌چنین، تلمیحات و اشارات تاریخی و فرهنگی (مسائل فرهنگی و اجتماعی) ترجمه‌پذیرند؛ آن‌چه سبب تلقی ترجمه‌ناپذیری از شعر شده است، عمدتاً موارد موسیقایی، هم‌چون وزن و قافیه و جناس و نیز موارد بسیار درهم‌تنیده‌ای از معنا و آواست که ترجمه‌اش دشوار است؛ هرچند به استناد آن‌ها، نمی‌توان شعر را در کلیت آن «ترجمه‌ناپذیر» تلقی کرد.

Some Reflections on the Translatability orUntranslatability of Contemporary Persian Poetry

The contribution of translation in interrelating the cultures is undeniable. In addition, the literary texts possess a lofty position in showing and resounding the thoughts, emotions and imaginations of people of the world. However, the translation of literary texts, especially poems have always been a questionable issue giving raise to lots of challenges, such that many translators and literary men believe that untranslatable. Today studies on the subject of translation have entered into the field of interdisciplinary issues, the authorities of linguistics, literature, and philosophy are studying its quiddity, reasonability, and its nature and they have already expressed various contradictory views about the issue. According to the findings of the present paper, the content, and message of the poem, also different kinds of figures of speech, like symbol, metaphors, allegory, and many others, as well as imagery, allusion, implicature, and historical and cultural issues are mostly translatable, what has convinced some authorities of untranslatability of a poem is its melody and music which appear in the forms of rhyme, rhythm, pun, and the cases in which the meaning and form have been interwoven such that any acceptable translation seems out of reach.
