بازنمود متغیرهای اجتماعی در تصاویر کتاب‌های آموزش زبان انگلیسی prospects درآموزش‌وپرورش

فرهنگ‌ها انتظارات خود را درباره‌ی دستیابی به باورها و ارزش‌های اجتماعی خود توسط آموزش زبان به افراد جامعه منتقل می‌کنند و نقش‌پذیری یکی از پیامدهای آشکار این فرایند است. وظیفه‌ی مراکز آموزشی تنها به موضوع آموزش محدود نمی‌شود بلکه بخش مهمی از تاثیرپذیری فرهنگی نیز از کارکردهای آن‌ها می‌باشد. براین‌اساس، پژوهش‌ حاضر برمبنای زبان‌شناسی نقشگرای هلیدی (1960) و به‌طور مشخص الگوی نشانه‌شناسی کرس و ون لیوون (2006) به بررسی موردی بازنمود متغیرهای اجتماعی در تصاویر کتاب های آموزش زبان انگلیسیprospects در آموزش‌وپرورش می پردازد. این مقاله بر این پرسش‌ها تاکید دارد: 1 بازنمایی گفتمان در تصاویر مرتبط با فعالیت‌های تفریحی چگونه است؟ 2 جنسیت در تصاویر این کتاب‌ها به چه صورت به تصویر کشیده می‌شود؟ هدف اصلی این مطالعه آن است که به روش توصیفی-تحلیلی از طریق بررسی تصاویر کتاب‌های آموزش زبان، کارکردهای اجتماعی و فرهنگی زبان را بررسی کرده و چگونگی بازنمایی گفتمان را در این متون تبیین نماید. نتایج نشان می‌دهد که این کتاب‌های آموزش زبان انگلیسی در آموزش‌وپرورش از رویکرد غالب جنسیتی برخوردار نیست و انتخاب نوع فعالیت‌های تفریحی نیز بدون جهت‌گیری فرهنگ زبان مبدا یا زبان مقصد بوده است؛ بدین صورت که تصویرساز درانتخاب تصاویر توجه مشخصی به زبان خود یا دیگری نداشته است.

Social Variables’ Representation in Pictures of English Language Textbooks Prospects at Ministry of Education

Cultures convey their expectations of achieving their social beliefs and values through language teaching to the community and one of its clear consequences is imprinting. Educational centers’ responsibility is not only limited to the subject of education and it includes an important part of their cultural influence. Consequently, this investigation analyses a case study of social variables’ representation in Pictures of English Language Textbooks at Ministry of Education, based on Halliday’s (1960) functional linguistics, and in particular Kress Van Leeuwen’s (2006) semiotic pattern. This paper focuses on the following questions: 1 How is discourse representated in images related to recreational activities? 2 How is gender shown in pictures of these books? The basic goal of this study is to investigate the social and cultural functions of language and explain how discourse is represented through descriptiveanalytic method by examining the images of language teaching books. The results show that these English language education textbooks don’t have a predominant gender approach to male or female and selection of recreational activities was without the orientation of the culture of source or target language; actually the illustrator hasn’t paid any special attention to his(her) own or the other language.
