میرزا ملکم خان و اندیشه ی روش

این مقاله درپی توجیه این ادعا است که آن چه در نوشته های میرزا ملکم خان درچارچوبِ تمایز عقل علمی از عقل طبیعی طرح می شود، نشان گر توجه وی به جایگاه محوریِ اندیشه ی روش در شکل گیریِ عقلانیت علمی و هم چنین، ایده ای مرکزی در کلیت اندیشه ی اوست؛ ایده ای که می توان براساس آن، جوانب گوناگون فکرِ وی را به هم پیوست و آن را به نحوی سازمند، صورت بندی و خوانش کرد. هم چنین ادعا می شود براساس این صورت بندی، می توان به دریافتی روشن از رویکرد وی به مسایل دوران پرآشوب پیش از مشروطیت رسید. از آن جا که ملکم خان علت العللِ ترقی و آبادانی فرنگستان را در پیروی از اصول عقل علمی می داند و هدف اش نیز ارائه ی برنامه ای برای آبادانی و ترقی ایران است، رویکردِ وی به چالش ایران را باید رویکردی راهبردی درنظر گرفت. وی در قامت استراتژیستی می اندیشد که راهبردی بی سابقه برای نفی استعمار قریب الوقوع، در سر دارد. رویکرد این نوشتار آن است تا داوری درباره ی تفکر ملکم خان، نه براساس ویژگی های شخصیتی، رفتارهای اجتماعی یا حتی انگیزه خوانیِ وی بلکه براساس تحلیل و تفسیر ساختاریِ چندین نوشته ی برگزیده از دوره های گوناگون زندگیِ وی انجام پذیرد تا ازین راه روشن شود، مفهوم محوری در اندیشه ی وی چیست (روش)، چرا چنین باوری دارد (عقل علمی مبنای تمامی ترقی های فرنگیان است) و چگونه آن را می پروراند (راهبردی).

Mīrzā Malkam Khān and the idea of Method

The objective of this paper is to clarify that the distinction Malkam Khan makes between natural (ordinary) and scientific reason, is crucial to his entire thought, and he makes this distinction because he is aware of the critical status the idea of method has in the formation of the scientific reason. So, I try to prove that the idea of method and the distinction he makes between these two reasons are the same idea which is to be considered as his central idea. According to Malkam Khān, following the principles of this reason is the key to prosperity and progress. So, he believes that in order not to be colonized, we should progress, and in order to become prosperous, we should act according to the principles of scientific reason. On the basis of this analysis I claim that he thinks like a strategist, therefore, whenever we want to interpret his thought as a consistent whole, we should consider this particular approach. My own approach in this paper is in harmony with the main argument of Malkam Khān, trying to interpret his thought not on the basis of his personal character, his concealed intentions, or simple political events in which he was a part, but on the basis of seeing his thought as scientifically (objectively) as possible by focusing on his own writings in different stages of his thoughtlife, and analyzing them structurally.
