مفهوم و زمینه‌های مختلف نمودیابی ظرافت در معماری؛( مطالعه موردی: گنبد سلطانیه و مسجد شیخ لطف‌الله )

بیان مساله: ظرافت ازجمله مفاهیم پردامنه و جهان‌شمول است که در هنر و معماری اهمیت فراوانی دارد؛ بااین‌حال به لحاظ نظری، ماهیت و جنبه‌های وجودی آن چندان مورد واکاوی قرارنگرفته است.هدف: پژوهش حاضر با هدف بازشناسی جایگاه ظرافت و مطالعۀ نحوۀ کاربست آن در طراحی آثار معماری، به‌عنوان یک دستمایه هنری صورت پذیرفته است. در این راستا با بهره‌گیری از روش توصیفی تحلیلی تلاش می‌کند ضمن بازشناسی مفهوم، به ردیابی و احصای انواع ظرافت به‌کاررفته در معماری ایرانی اسلامی اقدام کند.روش تحقیق: در گام نخست نظرات اندیشمندان دربارۀ چیستی ظرافت از دو منظر فلسفۀ هنر و طراحی مهندسی بررسی شده است. آنگاه به تدوین مدلی از ظرافت ادراکی با استفاده از مفهوم ماده (توده/ جرم)‌ و مطالعۀ ویژگی‌های کالبدی و ادراکی پرداخته و در گام بعد با کاوش در امکان‌های مختلف اطلاق صفت ظرافت به معماری در متون مختلف و تطبیق با مدل تهیه‌شده، انواع آن شناسایی و در دو نمونه گنبد سلطانیه و مسجد شیخ لطف‌الله مورد تحلیل قرار گرفته است.نتیجه‌گیری: زمینه‌های مختلف نمودیابی ظرافت دست‌کم در سه سطح، قابل‌طبقه‌بندی است: در سطح کلان شامل ظرافت در شاکله هندسی بنا به معنی فرایند و نظام شکل‌گیری، آرایش فضایی،‌ چیدمان و نحوه استقرار عناصر است؛ در سطح نیمه‌کلان شامل ظرافت سازه؛ و ظرافت شکل عناصر و ارگان‌ها؛ و در سطح خرد، شامل ظرافت مصالح پوسته ازنظر رنگ، جنس و بافت؛ و ظرافت جزئیات ازنظر اتصالات و مرزها می‌شود. لذا با توجه به گستردگی و تنوع کاربرد، می‌توان گفت جایگاه کیفیت ظرافت در معماری فراتر از بیانِ وابسته به یک سبک خاص است. شیوۀ کار معماران ایرانی برای دستیابی به ظرافتِ کالبدی در انواع معرفی‌شده، می‌تواند الگوی مناسبی برای فرایندهای طراحی و ساخت در معماری امروز ایران باشد.

The Concept and Aspects of Manifestation of Elegance in Architecture; Case Study: Soltaniyeh Dome and Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque

Problem statement: Elegance is a broad and universal concept with great importance in art and architecture. However, there is a lack of theoretical understanding about the nature and manifestations of elegance in architecture.Research Objective: The aim of this study is to recognize the place and use of elegance in the design of architectural works as an artistic theme. Using a descriptiveanalytical method, the authors tried to identify the concept and types of elegance and trace its uses in IranianIslamic architecture.Research method: In the first step, scholars’ views on the elegance concept from two perspectives of philosophy of art and engineering design were investigated. Then a model of perceptual elegance was developed using the concept of matter (mass) and the physical and perceptual characteristics were studied. In the next step, by exploring different texts for the various possibilities of applying elegance to architecture and matching with the prepared model, its types were identified, and they were examined in the two cases of Soltaniyeh Dome and Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque.Conclusion: The aspects of manifestation of elegance can be classified into at least three levels: at the macro level, the work may have elegance of geometry in the sense of formation process and system, spatial arrangement, placement, and orientation of elements; at the semimacro level, we have elegance of structure and elegance of form of elements and organs; and at micro level, we may observe elegance of shell materials in terms of color, type and texture, and elegance of details in terms of connections and borders. Given the breadth and variety of its applications, the place of elegance in architecture goes beyond the expression of a particular style. The methods used by Iranian architects of the past to achieve physical elegance in its different varieties can offer inspirations for today’s Iranian architecture.
