استعاره‌های مفهومی انسان‌انگارانه‌ی نفس در آثار ابن‌سینا

نفس مفهومی معقول است که انسان برای فهم آن ناگزیر از به کارگیری استعاره است. خاصیت ذهن بشری این است که بدون مددگرفتن از حوزه‌های عینی، قادر به شناخت مفاهیم عقلی نیست. نظریه ی شناختی استعاره (استعاره ی مفهومی) نشان می‌دهد که چگونه انسان از استعاره برای درک امور نامحسوس بهره می‌گیرد و در آن حوزه ی مفهومی مقصد، به کمک حوزه ی مفهومی مبدا از طریق نگاشت قابل فهم می‌گردد. این جستار تلاش می‌کند که با رویکرد شناختی، مفهوم سازی نفس در آثار سینوی از دیدگاه استعاره‌های انسان انگارانه را، در قالب کلان استعاره ی «نفس انسان است» و خرده استعاره‌های آن نشان دهد. نتایج نشان می‌دهد که نفس، به وسیله ی استعاره‌هایی که حوزه ی مبدا آنها انسان و ابعاد زندگی وی مانند ولادت، مدیریت، مالکیت، عبادت، ورزش، مسائل اجتماعی و حقوقی و صفات مذموم انسانی است، قابل فهم است. استعاره‌های مذکور بیانگر نحوه ی ارتباط نفس با بدن و مبادی عالیه از جمله عقل فعال است.

anthropomorphic conceptual metaphors of the soul in ibn sinā’s works

the soul is an abstract concept that requires the use of metaphor for its comprehension. the human mind is inherently incapable of understanding intellectual concepts without the aid of concrete domains. cognitive metaphor theory (conceptual metaphor theory) demonstrates how humans utilize metaphors to grasp intangible phenomena, wherein the target conceptual domain becomes understandable through mappings from a source domain. this study adopts a cognitive approach to explore the conceptualization of the soul in ibn sinā’s works through anthropomorphic metaphors, framed under the overarching metaphor &the soul is a human& and its subsidiary metaphors. the findings reveal that the soul is made comprehensible through metaphors drawn from domains such as human life dimensions, including birth, management, ownership, worship, physical activity, social interaction, legal frameworks, and negative human traits. these metaphors illustrate the relationship between the soul and the body as well as its connection to higher principles, including the active intellect.
