   Optimal design of interior permanent magnet motor with wide ux weakening range

چکیده    Increasing the constant power speed range (cpsr) and economical designare main concerns for designers. in this paper, a new optimal design of an interiorpermanent magnetic motor for traction application is proposed. the magnet volume hasbeen minimized and cpsr is wide enough for traction applications. the new idea discussedin this paper includes a combination of segmented pm and nonconventional air bridges inone design. the optimization process has been undertaken using the genetic algorithm(ga), and verication of simulation results using the finite element method (fem).
