|
In this study, we focused on simulation of the oblique collision of a waterdroplet on a superheated surface via a novel algorithm. in this approach, the vaporizationrate of the droplet is computed and is accurately applied in the solution process. the hightemperature of the surface leads to the formation of a vapor layer between the droplet andsurface. mesh clustering near the surface is used to capture the eect of the vapor layer.the level set method, in conjunction with the ghost uid method, is used to represent asharp interface. available experiments conrmed the validity of the proposed algorithm.the weber number based on normal velocity is the dominant parameter in the obliqueimpact process. the spreading radius and contact time of the droplet are dependent onthe normalweber number. an increase in the initial normal velocity of the droplet enhancesthe total heat removal from the wall.
