بررسی تاثیر فعالیت‌های پیش تکلیف پادکست، برنامه های کوتاه ویدیویی و آمادگی موضوعی بر عملکرد زبان آموزان در انواع تکلیف درک شنیداری

هدف این تحقیق، بررسی اثربخشی سه پیش تکلیف پادکست، برنامه‌های کوتاه ویدیویی و آمادگی موضوعی بر کارکرد زبان‌آموزان در انواع تکلیف درک شنیداری بود. به‌این منظور، تعداد 63 آزمودنی پانزده تا سی‌ساله به‌طور تصادفی در سه گروه قرار گرفتند و به‌هر گروه‌ یک پیش تکلیف داده شد. پیش تکلیف شنیداری گروه اول فایل‌های صوتی پادکست بود، گروه دوم برنامه‌های کوتاه ویدئویی را تماشا ‌کردند و گروه سوم در باره موضوع شنیداری گفتگو ‌کردند. سپس هر سه، گروه تکلیف‌های پر کردن جای خالی و معما را انجام دادند. نتایج تحلیل رگرسیون چندگانه نشان داد که تنها پادکست کارکردی زبان‌آموزان را در انجام تکالیف به‌خوبی پیش‌بینی کرد. همچنین از تحلیل واریانس استفاده شد تا تعیین کند که آیا تفاوت معناداری بین تاثیرات این سه فعالیت بر روی عملکرد زبان‌آموزان وجود دارد. نتایج این مطالعه نشان‌داد که پادکست و برنامه‌های کوتاه ویدئویی نقش مهمی ‌در درک مطلب شنیداری و تشویق زبان‌آموزان دارد. نتایج این تحقیق برای معلمان و تولیدکنندگان محتوا کاربرد دارد.

Investigating the Effectiveness of Using podcast, Video ShortPrograms and Topic Preparation as Pretask Activities on thePerformance of EFL Learners’ Listening Comprehension TaskTypes

This study aimed to explore the effectiveness of three pretask activities (podcast, video short programs and topic preparation) on the performance of EFL learners’ listening comprehension task types. Sixty three participants were assigned to three groups. Prelistening tasks were given to each group. The first group listened to podcasts, the second group watched video programs and finally the last group talked about the topic of the listening. Then, they were exposed to jigsaw and gap filling tasks. Multiple Regression was performed to find which activity can predict EFL learners’ listening comprehension. Only podcast could predict the learners’ performance. Also ANOVA was run to find if there was any significant difference between the activities on the performance of EFL learners listening comprehension in gap filing and jigsaw tasks. The results indicated that there were significant differences between the groups. The results of this study indicated the important role of podcast and video program in L2 listening comprehension and in motivating students. The results have implications for teachers and material developers.
