Let g = (v, e), v = {v1, v2, . . . , vn}, e = {e1, e2, . . . , em}, be a simple connected graph with n ≥ 2 vertices and m edges, with vertex degree sequence ∆ = d1 ≥ d2 ≥ · · · ≥ dn = δ, di = d(vi), and edge degree sequence ∆e = d(e1) ≥ d(e2) ≥ · · · ≥ d(en) = δe. the reformulated sombor index is defined as rs(g) = ∑ ei∼ej √ d(ei)² + d(ej )². we consider a relationship between reformulated sombor index and some of the vertex–degree-based indices.
