کاربرد ویروس‌های گیاهی در بیونانوتکنولوژی

مطالعه ویروس های گیاهی تنها از منظر بیماری زایی باعث کم شدن توجه و درک دانشمندان از سایر جنبه های ویروس ها شده است. در سال های اخیر مطالعات ویروس ها در راستای استفاده مفید از آن ها ، و فارغ از فنوتیپ بیماری زایی صورت گرفته است. کپسید ویروس های گیاهی به عنوان قالب های زیستی، حامل های دارو و نیز نانودستگاه در علوم کاربردی مختلف مورد استفاده قرار گرفته است. با شناسایی ویژگی های ظاهری، ژنتیکی، شکل فضایی ، نحوه تکثیر و استراتژی مونتاژ پروتئین پوششی ویروس ها، می توان با دستکاری در ژنوم و پروتئین های ویروسی در زمینه های مختلف از آن ها بهره برد. مهمترین کاربرد ویروس های گیاهی در علم نانوپزشکی است که در روش های تشخیص و درمان بیماری ها موثر است. یکی از مهمترین مزایای استفاده از نانوذرات ویروس گیاهی، سمیت کم برای انسان و تاثیر اختصاصی آن ها می باشد. در این مقاله به بررسی کاربرد ویروس های گیاهی در حوزه بیونانوتکنولوژی پرداخته شده است.

Applications of plant viruses in bionanotechnology

The emphasis on viruses as diseasecausing agents has skewed scientists rsquo; perception of other aspects of viruses. In recent years, there has been a reorientation of virus studies toward the beneficial use of viruses, independent of their diseasecausing phenotypes. For example, plant viral capsids have been utilized as biotemplates, drug vectors and nanodevices in many practical applications. By studying the morphology, genetics, spatial folding, replication and assembly strategy of viral capsids, we can manipulate the viral genome and viral proteins for in various fields. At present one of the most important uses of plant viruses is in nanomedicine, where they can be employed in diagnosis and therapy. Their low toxicity for humans and their specific effects are the main advantages of using plant viral nanoparticles. This review discusses applications of plant viruses in bionanotechnology.
