چکیده    Introduction: giant cell tumor (gct), a benign locally aggressive tumor, is uncommon in head and neck region. when occurring in the craniofacial bones, most gcts are found in the sphenoid, ethmoid and temporal bones. although surgical resection is the treatment of choice, definite radiation therapy may be used in medically or technically inoperable cases. case description: we present a 15-year-old boy with advanced gct of the left sphenoid and ethmoid sinuses, in which surgery was not practical. a threedimensional plan for the patient was developed using ct-simulation. a radiation dose of 50 gy was given to the tumor in 25 fractions from three portals (one anterior field and two (right and left) lateral wedge fields). discussion: a significant regression in the tumor occurred during and after treatment with a satisfactory aesthetic result. at the six-month follow-up, the patient showed no signs or symptoms of recurrence.
