چکیده    Introduction : prostate cancer is the cause of 10% of cancer deaths among american men. discovered late in the course of the disease, prostate cancer metastasis often involves the bones of the axial skeleton. comprising only 1% of all tumors of the mouth, oral metastases are rare, and those of the soft tissues of the mouth even more so. in a recent review of 390 cases of prostate cancers, 22 jawbone metastases were observed but only 1 metastasis to the oral soft tissues was reported. case description: we herein report a metastatic adenocarcinoma in the buccal mucosa of a 72-year-old man with a history of adenocarcinoma of the prostate. discussion:although rare, oral soft tissue metastases may be very easily mistaken for several various benign lesions. furthermore, such metastases may be the initial sign of an undiagnosed malignancy.
