Development and validation of Islamic quality of life questionnaire

The quality of life is mainly measured by multiple conceptualframeworks which neglect the cultural-religious context ofthe societies. hence, there is not a unique instrument to assesslife quality. the present study strives to develop and validatea quality of life questionnaire in light of javadi amoli’s view.in this study, the researcher-made questionnaire has beenanswered by 400 bachelor students. javadi amoli’s books havebeen consulted for developing the questionnaire. the validityof the questionnaire has been confirmed by content validity,face validity and, construct validity (using factor analysis andmeasuring correlation of identified components with totalquestionnaire). after ensuring content validity and consultingbartlett's test and kaiser-mayer-olkin index, factor analysishas been performed using principal component analysis andvarimax rotation. the results oriented toward four dimensionsas god, others, self, and nature which explained 36.5% of thevariance. the reliability of the questionnaire has been measuredusing split-half method and cronbach's alpha, and reportedas 0.63 and 0.89, respectively. the reliability of the extracteddimensions has been 0.87, 0.88, 0.80, and 0.81, respectively.accordingly, findings of the present research acknowledges thequestionnaire to be purposeful and efficient.
