ضرورت و بایسته‌های علوم جغرافیایی در اطلاعات نظامی

از گذشته تا به امروز برای هدایت معقولانه جنگ، اطلاعات نظامی عاملی مهم و اساسی در مدیریت نبرد به‌شمار می‌رود و به‌عنوان گام نخست در هر نبرد تهاجمی یا تدافعی، نقشی بی‌بدیل ایفا خواهد کرد؛ به‌گونه‌ای‌که اهمیت داده، اطلاعات و دانش بر کسی پوشیده نیست و برتری اطلاعاتی، سبب برتری در دیگر جنبه‌ها ازجمله برتری تصمیم‌گیری و اقدام می‌شود؛ در این میان مجموعه علوم جغرافیا نقش انکارناپذیری در چرخه و فرایند اطلاعات نظامی بر عهده ‌دارد؛ به‌گونه‌ای که در نظرگرفتن مولفه‌های جغرافیایی در هر طرح اطلاعات نظامی و استفاده و به‌کارگیری آن در جریان عملیات نظامی می‌تواند در پیشبرد اهداف از پیش تعیین‌شده نقش بسزایی داشته باشد. این پژوهش به‌لحاظ روش‌شناسی در زمره پژوهشهای کیفی است که با استفاده از روش توصیفی و با رویکرد تحلیلی به‌دنبال پاسخ به این پرسش است که: علوم جغرافیایی در اطلاعات نظامی چه نقشی دارد؟ شایان ‌ذکر است که منابع در این پژوهش به‌شیوه اسنادی گردآوری ‌شده است. درنهایت مجموعه علوم جغرافیایی در سه حوزه جغرافیای انسانی، جغرافیای طبیعی و جغرافیای میان‌رشته‌ای مورد بررسی قرارگرفت و نقش بی‌بدیل مجموعه علوم جغرافیا در چرخه و فرایند اطلاعات نظامی تبیین، و مشخص شد که هر طرح اطلاعات نظامی بدون در نظر گرفتن مولفه‌های جغرافیایی ‌به شکست محکوم خواهد بود.

The Necessity and Requirements of Geographical Sciences in Military Information

Military intelligence has always been an important and fundamental factor in battle management and rational conduct of war from the past to the present, and will play a unique role as forming the first step in any offensive or defensive battle. The significant role of data, information and knowledge is not unknown for anyone. Superiority in the field of information leads to superiority in other aspects, including decisionmaking and action. Moreover, the role of geographical sciences in general cannot be ignored in the cycle and process of military information. This role is so important that the consideration of geographical components in any military information plan and its use and application in military operations can be quite effective in advancing the predetermined goals. This research a qualitative research which follows descriptive method and analytical approach to answer the following question: “What is the role of geographical sciences in military intelligence?” Moreover, data collection for this research is implemented by documentary method. Finally, the group of geographical sciences in three areas of human geography, natural geography and interdisciplinary geography were assessed and the unique role of the geographical sciences in the cycle and process of military intelligence was explained. The results indicated that any military intelligence plan would be doomed to failure without considering geographical components.
