روش ‌شناسی تاریخ‌ نگاری ایرج افشار

ایرج افشار را بیشتر در جایگاه یک ایران ‌شناس، نسخه ‌شناس و کتابدار می‌شناسند؛ با این‌ حال بخش گسترده‌ای از فعالیت‌های ایران ‌شناسانه و نسخه‌ شناسانه او ذیل فعالیت تاریخ‌نگارانه نیز قرار می‌گیرد. او مانند هر تاریخ‌نگار و تاریخ‌پژوه پرتوان، جدی و فعال دیگر روش‌های مقبول خود را در پژوهش تاریخی به‌کار می‌بست و در کنار میراث دیگر خود، توانست از نظر روش‌شناسی نیز بر بسیاری از همکاران هم‌نسل و نسل‌های بعدی تاثیر بگذارد و آنان از وی بسیار آموختند که چگونه سرگذشت آدمی را پژوهش کنند تا به درک بهتری از واقعیت گذشته دست یابند؛ به‌همین‌دلیل شناخت روش‌ها و گرایش‌های وی در تاریخ‌نگاری و تاریخ‌پژوهی حائز اهمیت بسیار است. در این مقاله کوشش شده است این روش‌ها بهتر شناخته شود و پاسخی به این پرسش داده شود که ایرج افشار چگونه تلاش می‌کرد که واقعیت گذشته ایران را بهتر بشناسد.

iraj afshar’s historiography methodology

iraj afshar is mostly known as an iranologist, manuscript expert and bibliographer; however, a large part of his iranological and manuscript studies activities is also included under historiographical activity. like every capable, serious and active history researcher and historian, he used his preferred methods in historical research, and along with his other legacy, he influenced many colleagues of the same generation and subsequent generations in terms of methodology. they learned a lot from him; including how to research human history to achieve a better understanding of the past. for this reason, it is very important to know his methods and tendencies in historiography and historical research. in this article, has been tried to achieve a better understanding of these methods and to give an answer to the question of how iraj afshar tried to better understand the reality of iran’s past.
