زمینه های شکل گیری و تبعات برگزاری نخستین نمایشگاه جهانی فرش در اتریش

نیمه‌ی دوم قرن نوزدهم مصادف با تحولات گسترده‌ی فرهنگی و اقتصادی در غرب، نخستین نمایشگاه جهانی فرش دستباف شرقی در امپراتوری اتریش برگزار شد. با‌توجه‌به اهمیت فرش در حیات سیاسی و اقتصادی ایران در آن دوره، هدف از این پژوهش شناخت زمینه های شکل گیری، نتایج برگزاری این نمایشگاه و جایگاه قالی های دستباف ایرانی در این رویداد است. مطالعات اسنادی و تاریخی نشان داده‌اند که قالی‌های ایرانی از نظر کمّی و کیفی جایگاه نخست را در این نمایشگاه به خود اختصاص دادند. ارزش های بصری و زیبایی‌شناسانه‌ی این قالی ها باعث ارتقای ارزش های پژوهشی قالی های شرقی و ایرانی در بین پژوهشگران و بنیان گذاری مکتب فرش شناسی وین گردید. تحسین این قالی ها از سوی منتقدان و نخبگان فرهنگی باعث گرایش موزه ها و مجموعه های هنری به خرید و نمایش قالی های ایرانی در ردیف هنر های زیبا گردید. مجموعه‌ی این اقدامات موجب تحریک تقاضای خرید قالی دستباف در بین خانوارهای غربی و تقویت تولید و صادرات قالی ایران به میانجی‌گری شرکت های چندملیتی و ایرانی شد.

contexts of formation and consequences of holding the first world carpet exhibition in austria

abdullah mirzaei[1]abstractin the second half of the nineteenth century, coinciding with extensive cultural and economic developments in the west, the first world exhibition of oriental handmade carpets held in the austrian empire. considering the importance of carpets in the political and economic life of iran in that period, the purpose of this study is to identify the background of the formation and results of this exhibition and the place of iranian handmade carpets in this event. documentary and historical studies have shown that iranian carpets took the first place in this exhibition in terms of quantity and quality. the visual and aesthetic values ​​of these carpets promoted the research values ​​of oriental and iranian carpets among researchers and the founding of the vienna school of carpetology. the admiration of these carpets by critics and cultural elites led to the tendency of museums and art collections to buy and display iranian carpets in the category of fine arts. the combination of these measures stimulated the demand for the purchase of handmade carpets among western households and strengthened the production and export of iranian carpets through the mediation of multinational and iranian companies. [1] faculty member of tabriz university of islamic art, (a.mirzaei@tabriziau.ac.ir).received in 23 april 2020, accepted 20 june 2020
