بررسی اثر توسعه مالی بر سطح فقر: شواهدی از کشورهای عضو کنفرانس اسلامی

در میان اقشار مختلف جوامع، فقر یکی از مخرب‌ترین عناصر اثرگذار بر سطح زندگی اقتصادی و اجتماعی مردم تلقی می‌شود. از طرفی، یکی از مهم‌ترین اهداف توسعه اقتصادی کشورها، توزیع عادلانه‌تر درآمدها و کاهش سطح فقر است. توسعه مالی یکی از موثرترین ابزارها در جهت نیل به این اهداف محسوب می‌شود و به طور مستقیم و غیر مستقیم بر کاهش نابرابری درآمد موثر است. از آن‌جا که سیاست‌گذاران همواره به دنبال راه‌هایی برای کاهش فقر هستند، بررسی ارتباط بین توسعه مالی و فقر مهم به نظر می‌رسد. بنابراین، در پژوهش حاضر سعی شده است تاثیر توسعه مالی بر سطح فقر در طول دوره زمانی 2015-2003 برای کشورهای عضو کنفرانس اسلامی مورد بررسی قرار گیرد. نتایج بدست آمده حاکی از این است که توسعه مالی رابطه u معکوس با سطح فقر دارد و بیشتر کشورهای مورد بررسی در قسمت صعودی این منحنی قرار دارند. از طرفی، سایر برآوردها نشان دادند که تاثیرگذاری موثرتر توسعه مالی بر کاهش فقر در میان کشورهای دارای سطح درآمد بالا و متوسط و همچنین کشورهای دارای حاکمیت قانونی قوی‌تر بیشتر است.

On the effects of financial development on poverty: Empirical evidence from the member countries of the Islamic conference

Poverty has always been regarded as one of the most destructive factors that negatively influence the social and economic classes of people in any given country. Obviously, a major goal of economic development is the fair distribution of income and reduction of poverty. Financial development can pave the way for the achievement of these aims and lower income inequalities directly or indirectly. Given that policy makers are always seeking ways to control poverty, investigating the relationship between financial development and poverty seems to be necessary. Therefore, the present study examines the relationship between the two factors within the time interval from 2003 to 2015 regarding the countries represented in the Islamic conference. According to our results, there is a reverse U relationship between those two factors, and most of the studied countries are on the upward part of the curve (U). The results also indicate that financial development reduces poverty more remarkably in high and averageincome countries and in those that are more committed to the rule of law.
