مطالعه تطبیقی مفهوم هویت از منظر مکتب انگلیسی و تئوری سازه‌انگاری در روابط بین‌الملل

مفهوم هویت به شکل منسجم و به عنوان یکی از مه‌ترین مفاهیم موجود در روابط بین‌الملل، مفهومی نسبتاً جدید است و شکل‌گیری آن به دهه 1950 برمی‌گردد. هویت به مفهوم وضعیت شبیه بودن و تفاوت داشتن با دیگران و شامل ایجاد مرزهایی است که خود را از دیگران جدا می‌کند. «چیستی» و «کیستی» از جمله سوالاتی می‌باشند که در مبحث هویت مطرح و ذهن بشر و جوامع بشری را از گذشته‌های دور مشغول نموده‌اند. از نظر مکتب انگلیسی، عامل اصلی شکل‌گیری هویت، معانی و هنجارهایی می‌باشند که سبب ایجاد تکالیف متقابل بازیگران مختلف می‌شوند. در مقابل، سازه‌انگاری هویت را یک سازه اجتماعی می‌داند که جنبه ذهنی و گفتمانی دارد و معتقد است که علاوه بر معانی و هنجارها، منافع نیز در شکل‌گیری هویت‌ها نقش اساسی دارند. مقاله حاضر با هدف مطالعه تطبیقی هویت از منظر مکتب انگلیسی و تئوری سازه‌انگاری، با روش توصیفی- تحلیلی و با ابزار کتابخانه‌ای صورت می‌گیرد.

Comparative Study of the Concept of Identify in International Relations through English School and Constructivist Theory

The concept of identity in a coherent form and as one of the most important concepts of International Relations is relatively new which initially emerged in 50s. Identity means to be similar or different from others and includes making borders to separate self from other. “What” and “who” are the most common questions on the issue of identity which have preoccupied the human minds and human societies since ages ago. From English School perspective, the most significant factors in shaping the identity are the ideas and norms that make mutual duties for different actors. Conversely, according to constructivism, identity is a social construct which has mental and discourse aspects. Constructivists believe that interest, in addition to ideas and norms, has a vital role in identity formation. The present article attempts to examine the concept of identity in a comparative context by considering the English School and the Constructivist Theory in International Relations.
