Abstract
|
keshia ali is an american researcher and specialist in islamic studies who focuses on the study of islamic jurisprudence, ethics, women, gender and the life of the prophet (pbuh). he is currently a professor at boston university. ali has published his book entitled the lives of muhammad [2] in 2014 in harvard university press and has 342 pages.the book includes an introduction and six chapters: &historical muhammad&, &true prophet&, &prominent muslims&, &muhammad’s wife&, &mother of the believers& and &enlightened man&. also, a simple chronology of four events, which includes the migration to medina, the battle of badr, the battle of uhud, and the conquest of mecca, is given before the introduction of the book. the marriage of the prophet (pbuh) which is discussed in the fourth and fifth chapters, constitutes most of the topics of this book. the conclusion, footnotes, list of sources, acknowledgments and appendices are the final items of the book.
