ترجیح جوجه‌های گوشتی برای رنگ خوراک

مطالعه ترجیح جوجه های گوشتی به رنگ خوراک برای بهبود رفاه و راحتی جوجه های گوشتی مهم است و ممکن است در بهبود عملکرد نیز سودمند باشد. هدف آزمایش نخست بررسی ترجیح جوجه های یک روزه در تحت نورهای مختلف به رنگ های مختلف بود. یکصد و شصت قطعه جوجه راس 308 به تازگی هچ شده که قبلاً خوراکی دریافت نکرده بودند، به پن های نوردهی شده با رنگ نورهای مختلف (سفید، زرد، سبز و قرمز) اختصاص یافت. تحت هر رنگ نور چهار انتخاب از رنگ خوراک (قرمز، سبز، زرد و شاهد) ارائه شد. انتخاب در لحظه ای که پرنده تلاش برای به دست آوردن خوراک از یک رنگ می نمود ثبت می شد. در آزمایش دوم، 80 قطعه جوجه انتخاب شد که سپس به طور مساوی به چهار پن نوردهی شده با نور سفید تقسیم شدند. شدت های نور برای تمامی پن ها یکسان بود. هر پن با استفاده از پلاستیک های تیره برای جلوگیری از تداخل دید با پن های مجاور جدا شد. در هر پن چهار ظرف محتوی خوراک هایی با رنگ های مختلف قرار گرفت و جوجه ها مجاز به مصرف از خوراک با رنگ مورد ترجیح خود بودند. تمامی جوجه ها با یک جیره استاندارد nrc تغذیه شدند و در همه پن ها دسترسی آزاد به آب و خوراک داشتند. میزان مصرف خوراک از هر رنگ خوراک در هر پن به صورت درصد از کل مصرف خوراک در آن پن تا روز 28 دوره پرورشی تعیین شد. نتایج نشان داد که بین ترجیح جوجه ها یک روزه به رنگ های خوراکی تفاوت معنی دار آماری وجود نداشت. با این حال، مشاهده شد که تحت نور سفید جوجه ها متمایل بودند که رنگ خوراک سبز را به شاهد ترجیح دهند (0.08=p). بنا به نتایج آزمایش دوم، درصد مصرف خوراک از رنگ سبز به طور معنی داری بالاتر از سایر رنگ های خوراکی بود. همچنین پایین ترین درصد مصرف خوراک در تحت نور سفید، مربوط به رنگ خوراک قرمز بود.

Preference of Broiler Chickens for Feed Color

Studying broiler preference to feed color is important for improving comfort and welfare of broilers and it may be beneficial for improving performance. The aim of the first experiment was to examine dayold chick's preference in different light colors to different feed colors. One hundred and sixty Ross 308 newly hatched broilers, never exposed to feed, were allocated into pens illuminated with different light colors: white, yellow, green and red. Under each color of light four colored feed choices (red, green, yellow and control) were offered. Choice was recorded the moment the bird attempted to obtain feed. In the second experiment, 80 chicks were chosen and separated equally in four pens illuminated with white color. Light intensities were the same in all pens at both experiment. The pens were separated using black plastic to keep stray light from interfering with neighboring pens. In each pens there were 4 dishes containing different feed color and chicks were allowed to choose the preferred color of feed for consumption. All chicks were fed a standard NRC ration and all pens were given ad libitum access to feed and water. The amount of feed intake from each colored feed in each pen was determined as a proportion of total pen feed intake until 21th days of rearing period. The results indicated that there were no significant differences between preferences of chicks to different feed colors. However, it was observed that under white light chicks tend to prefer green feed compared to control (P=0.08). The results in the second part of experiment showed that the feed intake from green feed were significantly higher compared to other colored feeds. Also, birds had the lowest proportion of feed intake from the redcolored ration under white lighting.
