کاربست استعارۀ دایره در ترسیم نظام هستی

ازجمله مهم‌ترین موضوعات و بلکه منحصربه‌فردترین مسائل، «توجیه و تبیین» و «اثبات و تثبیت» آموزه‌های مرتبط با مبدا و معاد در هستی‌شناسیِ فلسفۀ اسلامی است. بیان‌های گونا‌گون، تلاش حِکمی را در تصویرسازی مبدا و معاد در حکمت اسلامی به خود اختصاص داده است؛ از همه رایج‌تر در متون فلسفی، استفاده از کلان‌استعارۀ دایره و به‌تبع آن، خُرداستعاره‌های مرتبط جهتی و حرکتی همانند قوس و صعود و نزول است، البته استعاره نه به‌عنوان آرایه‌ای ادبی؛ بلکه به‌عنوان ابزاری برای ایضاح به‌هنجار و ایفای مقاصد دور از حس و دشوار فلسفی با کمکِ متناظردانستنِ دو قلمروِ مبدا و مقصد. در دورۀ معاصر، این‌گونه استفاده از استعاره را استعارۀ مفهومی نامیده و آن را از موضوعات کلیدی علم زبان‌شناسیِ شناختی به شمار آورده و موثر و مطلوب برای معرفت‌زایی دانسته‌اند. نخستین‌بار در حکمت اسلامی، محقق داماد به این استعاره و توجیه کاربستِ آگاهانهٔ آن توجه نشان داد و حکمای متعالی بیشترین تصویرسازی و توجیه و تبیین و ارائهٔ مقاصد فلسفی را براساس آن به کار بسته‌اند. هدف این نوشتار، بخشی از این تلاش برای بیان محتوایی این استعاره است.

the application of the metaphor of circle in explaining the order of existence

one of the most important and unique issues in the ontology of islamic philosophy is justification, explanation, and proof of the doctrines related to the origin and the return. various efforts in islamic philosophy have been put in to express a philosophical depiction of the origin and return. the most common expression in philosophical texts is using the macro-metaphor of circle and, accordingly, the related micro-metaphors of direction and movement, such as the arc, ascent and descent. here, of course, metaphor is not merely a figure of speech, rather, it is a means to clarify difficult abstract philosophical meanings through taking the origin and return as two corresponding realms. in the contemporary period, this kind of use of metaphor is called conceptual metaphor and it is considered one of the key subjects of cognitive linguistics which is useful in producing knowledge. in islamic philosophy, mīrdāmād pioneered in using this metaphor and justified its conscious use. transcendent philosophers have most extensively used it in their illustration, justification, explanation and presentation of philosophical meanings. the purpose of this article is part of the effort to express the content of this metaphor.
