This paper proposes the fuzzy approach to choosing a life partner using four main criteria as prescribed in islam. the four criteria are,religion,looks,wealth and descent. the discussion focused on a simple mathematical calculation using fuzzy ideal solution by considering each weighted criteria based on the assessment group. a numerical example is given to illustrate the application and benefit of the proposed approach. for this purpose,a sample calculation is used to demonstrate the applicability and the benefits that can be reaped from this proposed approach. based on the calculations,the method is easily applied and can be used as an alternative by interested parties for the purpose of getting a suitable life partner while at the same time,comply with the islamic syariah requirement.
