The Survey of Training Aids and Lighting Effects on Eye Fatigue

Background: one of the valuable experiences that can beuseful educational centers is using the various aspects ofeducational technology and recognition of importance andapplication training aides in learning process. this study wasconducted with the objective of determination of training aidsand lighting effects (video projector and white board) on the eyefatigue among students.material and methods: in this cross-sectional study, studentsin health and nutrition school (shiraz university of medicalsciences) (n=200), voluntarily participated (17-30 years old). aquestionnaire consisted of three parts was used as datacollecting tool. in the first part, demographic characteristics, inthe second part, questions about specific symptoms of eyefatigue and in the third part questions related to the public eyefatigue were included.results: results showed that between eye fatigue and the use ofvideo projector and white board there is a significantrelationship. also, results showed that there is relationshipbetween eye fatigue and use of glasses. according to theseresults, there is no significant relationship between eye fatiguewith age and sex.conclusion:the results showed mean of lighting in classroomin use of video projector is lower than iran standard lighting,but this parameter in use of white board taken in standard limit.eye fatigue had association with application of video projectorand using the glasses.
