Background: the purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and personality traits of nurses with patient’s satisfaction of nursing services in the hospitals of jundishapur university of ahvaz.methods: the sample of this study was consisted of 352 nurses in the hospitals of jundishapur university of ahvaz, selected through simple random sampling and 352 patients selected through convenience sampling, based on the nurses' sample. the instruments used include the emotional intelligence scale, revised neo personality inventory, and patient satisfaction instrument.results: the results showed personality characters and emotional intelligence and its dimensions, correlated with patients' satisfaction. the results of two separate multiple regression analysis revealed that dimensions of emotional intelligence accounting for 29% of the variance in patient’s satisfaction (mr=0.542), and personality characters of nurses accounting for 16% of the variance in patient’s satisfaction (mr=0.405).conclusion: the results suggest the relation between the emotional intelligence and personality characters of nurses with patient’s' satisfaction of nursing services.
