چکیده    This study investigates intricate water governance landscape in iran, analyzing the challenges in water resource management. it highlights the nation’s unique arid and semi-arid geography, identifying factors exacerbating the water crisis such as increasing demand and inadequate policies. technical elements like rising temperatures and non-technical factors such as public awareness and legal frameworks are explored. the paper stresses unsustainable agricultural water practices and proposes governance reforms, including improved farming methods, upgraded irrigation systems, and enhanced inter-provincial collaboration. it advocates for a holistic water governance approach integrating modern agricultural techniques, natural infrastructure restoration, and robust monitoring mechanisms to address escalating water issues. the study’s insights can inform the development of equitable and efficient water management strategies in arid regions.
