   synthesis and morphological investigation of hydroxyapatite/zinc oxide and evaluation its application in removal of organic pollutants

چکیده    Water contamination has negative effects on people’s quality of life and the environment in recent decades as a result of increased agricultural and industrial activities. using new advanced nanomaterials can be helpful for the removal of water contamination. in this study, novel hydroxyapatite/ zinc oxide nanocomposites was prepared via a simple ci-precipitation route. hydroxyapatite has been known as a biocompatible nanomaterial. prepared samples were analyzed via x-ray diffraction (xrd), scanning electron microscopy (sem), energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (eds), and fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (ftir) analysis. it was found that hydroxyapatite/zinc oxide nanocomposites can be provided as an attractive candidate for photocatalytic degradation of azo dyes. the prepared hydroxyapatite/zinc oxide nanocomposites were utilized as a photocatalyst for degradation of methylene blue and acid blue 92. results showed that prepared hydroxyapatite/zinc oxide nanocomposites can be degraded 87% and 98% of rhodamine b and methylene blue under uv irradiation respectively. it was observed that hydroxyapatite improve the photocatalytic activity of zinc oxide.
