The olive mille waste water is an environmental problem forolive oil producing countries of as morocco. omww is rich in polyphenols,which are characterized by theanti-microbial power. the aim of our study was to evaluate the antimicrobial activity omww and determine the mic and mbc. we found that the omww are highly effective against gram-positive with adiameter between (15 and 23)mm. the maximum zone of inhibition was observed in s. aureusatcc25923 (23mm),while the minimum inhibition zone was observed in escherichiacoli atcc25921 (15mm). our results showed that the omww inhibits most of the test edorganisms which do not exhibit the same sensitivity,e. coliand s. aureus showed a higher sensitivity with an inhibitory concentration of (0,125mg/ml)compared to others strains tested: acinetobactersp,klebsiella pneumoniae,enterobacter cloacae,pseudomonasaeruginosa atcc 27853,whose growth was inhibitedat (0,25 mg/ml).in other hand,the bactericidal effect of omww was (0.25mg/ml) in k.pneumoniae,p. aeruginosa and acinetobactersp,(0.5 mg/ml) for e.coli and enterobactercloacae (gram negative); and s.aureus (gram positive).
