چکیده    The population growth in the city of sale generates a more important volume of wastewater discharged directly into coastal and estuary bouregreg without any pre-treatment. however,a suitable way to treat wastewater to improve the quality of the receiving water is required. the purpose of this work is to apply the physico-chemical wastewater treatment by coagulation flocculation using ferric chloride (fecl3) as a chemical coagulant. this method is one of those appropriate treatment techniques to reduce water pollution. so,several jar test attempts were performed to define the optimal conditions that allow minimizing the suspended solids. a very significant decrease in turbidity was observed after settling existing suspended solids in wastewater. a correlation between the time of settling and the height of the column was validated according to kynch law.
