Caractérisation de la vase de dragage du barrage de l'Oued Fodda et valorisation en tant que matériau de construction [Characterization of dredging mud dam oued fodda and valorization as a building material]

The dam of oued fodda is subject to high sedimentation due to the large volumes of sediment load transported by rivers each year especially during heavy floods. thus,a volume of 103.106 m3 of mud is deposited and reducing its capacity to less than 45% [1]. to prolong the life of this dam,the dredging of the reservoir has become an indispensable solution despite the huge amounts of vessels extracted by the bottom gates of the dam and finds no application and storage poses a problem now threatening the environment. in this article,we will conduct a study based on physical,chemical and mineralogical analysis of mud taken from the dam of oued fodda. the analysis results obtained satisfy the standards of good clay used for the manufacture of ceramics.
