Pollicipespollicipes (Gmelin,1789) (cirripedia,lepadomorpha): Its Cycle of Reproduction in the Region of Mirleft (Southwest Morocco)

The gametogenic cycle of pollicipespollicipes(gmelin,1789) (cirripedia,lepadomorpha)was studied ingrizim (region of mirleft,southwestern of morocco),site exposed to upwelling influence. the gonadal development was studied in intertidal population by histology during the period avril 2009 - march 2011. the spermatogenic activity was very spread out in time and the percentage of individuals presenting male gonads mature was very important during the spring,the summer and the beginning autumn. there are about 90 % and 89.28 % of individuals at the stage ii,respectively,in august and october 2009,and 75 % and 78.26 %,respectively,in april and september 2010. the ovogenes was very active and gonads mature (stage ii) were frequently encountered during the period may - october 2009 and march - october 2010 with a maximum of 62.06 % in july and august 2009 for the first year of study,and 70 % in july,78 % in september and 66 % in october during the second year.
