Valorization and properties of landfill leachates humic substances [Valorisation et propriétés des substances humiques des lixiviats de décharge]

Experiments have been conducted in our laboratory comparing humic substances (hs) extracted from landfill leachate to/with a stable hs formulation called humifirst (12% humic acid and fulvic acid 3%) from tradecorp company's (spain),with the aim to study their effects on the development of the root system of birch and alder vitroplants. the results obtained show that treatment of shoots with a low concentration (10 ppm) of leachate hs during the elongation phase of rooting,affects the lateral roots formation with varying intensity depending on the species while,humifirst has no significant effect.
