Study of the state of bacteriological and chemical healthiness of the Ras Kebdana-Saïdia coast (East Mediterranean Coast Moroccan) [Etude de l'état de salubrité bactériologique et chimique du littoral Ras Kebdana-Saïdia (côte méditerranéenne Est marocaine)]

Due to the quality of the water and his considerable natural advantages,the moroccan coast has several sites hosting natural shellfish deposits or expedient for farmed shellfish projects. accordingly the present study was conducted to determine the health of natural deposits of small clams (chamelea gallina) along coastal ras kebdana-saidia (morocco east coast),through regular sampling over five years enabling monitoring bimonthly enumeration of escherichia coli ß-glucuronidase positive,and quarterly monitoring of bioaccumulation of trace metals (cd,pb and hg) in four coastal stations. the results of the microbiological and chemical monitoring in the flesh of small clam showed fairly significant variation depending on the period and the sampling station and the proximity of river oued moulouya.
