Study of physic-chemical quality of water and soil in the region Souss Massa (Case perimeter Issen),Morocco [étude de la qualité physico-chimique des eaux et des sols de la région Souss Massa,(Cas de périmètre Issen),Maroc]

As part of the management and development of irrigation water and the conservation of water resources for sustainable agriculture,a qualitative study of soil and water the irrigated perimeter of issen in plain souss massa was performed. this study allowed us to evaluate the impact of intensive agriculture on the physic-chemical quality of these resources and to appreciate the different methods of their use. an approach has been followed; including realization the campaigns of measurements in situ on the ground (ec,ph,nitrate,depth to water) by a network of monitoring 21 water points and 20 points of soil. the results of the groundwater depth measured show that they vary between 8 and 40 m,and 62% of the sampled wells have high salinity and very high,therefore are inadequate for irrigation. in addition 14% of analyzed wells have nitrate levels above 50 mg/ l,nitrate pollution a not alarming,however,the analyzed soil show the ph generally is basic and 70% are poor to moderately filled with organic matter,and the measures of electrical conductivity indicate that 95% of samples are non-saline but others have alkalinity problem,and they are also characterized by low and high concentrations respectively in phosphorus and potassium.
