   Adsorption of Chromium (VI) by using HCl modified Lagenaria siceraria peel (HLSP)

چکیده    An attempt has been made to test the potential of hcl modified lagenaria siceraria (bottle gourd) peel (hlsp) towards cr6+ uptake. 120 minutes contact time and ph 4-5 is the optimum condition. negative activation energy shows ease and exothermic nature of the adsorption process. the maximum uptake of cr6+ is 1.17 mg/g of hlsp. the adsorption of cr6+ by hlsp is well explained by different isotherms like ho & mc-kay equation (pseudo 2nd order kinetics),langmuir and morris-weber equation.
