چکیده
|
Excessive use of numerical simulations can sometimes provide inconsistent results not conform with physical reality if certain precautions are not observed. in this article,we treat the essential step that is the calibration phase of numerical models. to do this,we took as an example a geotechnical system consisting of a soil-retaining wall subjected to dynamic loading. the simulations were performed using the software plaxis2d. the results obtained show that they are highly dependent on the nature of boundary conditions,the number of dynamic secondary steps,the refinement of the finite element mesh,the time step of calculation,and the damping parameters as well as those of newmark.
