   Characterization and Valorization of marine sediments in the manufacture of bricks [Caractérisation et valorisation des sédiments marins dans la fabrication des briques]

چکیده    Dredging practices are a challenge for the development and maintenance of port activities. millions of cubic meters are regularly extracted from algerian ports,it is necessary to value them. this study focuses on the development of marine sediments from bethioua port for making bricks. a physicochemical characterization,mineralogical,microscopic and rheological was carried out with great care at several internal laboratories (mds lab,microscopy and rheology laboratory) of our university (usto-mb) and external (cth laboratory,lafarge and polymer chemistry laboratory) for these marine sediments and for slip brick. the physico-chemical,mineralogical and microscopic characterization of these materials shows a similarity between these sediments. they can be a source of local raw materials very useful,particularly for the construction sector such as brick. the rheological study was conducted at different concentrations using the rheometer (rheostress rs600 thermohaake) using a measurement geometry coaxial cylinder. the study of the rheological parameters of the slip brick,marine sediments and the slurry with the addition of these marine sediments allowed us to determine the composition and concentrations ideal for the manufacture of bricks. the results of the rheological parameters obtained from these marine sediments show a recovery percentage up to 15% which makes it possible to say that the sediment can be emphasized in the field of the manufacture of bricks.
